The goals of the Iranian opposition and its ability to bring internal changes  (2009-12-28)

What are the goals of the Iranian opposition and what’s its ability to bring internal changes ? للمشاركة باللغة العربية الرجاء الضغط على علم السعودية ثم الدخول لزاوية سؤال تحت المجهر .

9- Mohamed Hammar

schoolmaster; promoter of "The 3rd Ijtihad" & "Applied Linguistic Islamology"  (Tunisia)

I strongly believe that the Iranian opposition has long suffered redundance due to a compromising survival of the Islamic Republic. As Syrian thinker recently put it, commenting upon the election-centered crisis, it was the"end of the Islamic era". Therefore, it's high time the Iranian regime did something to boost liberal democracy efforts sustained by reformers such as Karubi and by religious intellectuals such as Abdolharim Soroosh.

lectrur in unversity  (Jordan)

What makes it more complicated in Iran, they put themselves in a feud with the focus of much of the world, especially Arab and therefore what happens internally is a matter for the people of Iran and Iran and Iran should be friendly to the Arab and Islamic countries a way that clarifies the true and essential role to play as a possible strategy and working stability in the global and regional changes and therefore the opposition inside Iran and is for the people of Iran important thing we as Muslims and Arabs that Iran will be in a positive attitude and to interfere in the internal affairs of any arab and muslims countriesin any direction and capacity

7- Sami Jamil Jadallah

.  (US Virgin Islands)

Sami Jamil Jadallah The event of the last months proves the Iranian leadership never learned from the mistakes of the late Shah and is going through the process of self-destruct. The late Khomeini was not a man of faith but a man of politics and his ever need for total control costs the lives of many of the best and brightest, those who made the Islamic Revolution possible. The Islamic Clergy became the “Aristocracy” of the Revolution making sure they and they alone hold the key powers in the Islamic Republic. Now the leadership could never imagine that the people have wised up, that the idea of a “Wilyat Al-Faqih” no longer has a place in a modern state. No one should be the “Guardian” of the people and the state, but the people, the voters, those who put their lives on the lines. I was one of those who supported the initial Islamic Revolution with the hope that it will set forth the “model” for a modern “Islamic” state. Unfortunately, the people revolution was hijacked by an Islamic clergy that is no less corrupt, power hungry, criminal in mind and practice than the late government of the Shah. Yes, the people will win, and those clergymen will find themselves in the receiving end when people take over.

Islam is great religion, it started with rational minds with good, true faith and this is how it spread all over the world. Never once, in history of Islam, had narrow-minded Mulali controled the minds as in Iran now, nor nation-wide mournings and Latmiat (self-beating)overwhelm mentalities. Hoping the Oppostion keeps Iran a Shiat Moslem Leader however in more sensable, moderate manner..

5- mohd amin

Journalist  (Kuwait)

The Iranian Opposition aims to govern the country in the first place. Then, they want a less hostile Iranian policy towards the West and Israel. Third, they prefer to fund development projects rather than making nuclear weapons. Finally, they represent the what can be called the second (or the third) generation of the Islamic Revolution who thinks is more representative of the Iranian majority, especially the Young population. The opposition in Iran are becoming more and more strong and they put the Government and Even the Supreme leader, on the defensive!

4- Dr. Mohamed Nezami

xxxx  (United States)

This is not an opposition!. This is an aggression on the Islamic republic from inside using dirty US $ and criminal missionaries. The US with its Arab corrupt illegitimate kings and militant presidents are organizing an all attack on a democratic successful Muslim Shiat republic. The Islamic republic is a democratic state with a supreme religious leader, this is the norm for a state that is ~100% Shiat faith. It has the right to own weapons to defend itself just like Israel or the US or Russ

3- Mohamed Muslim Al-husaini

University Professor  (Belgium)

Unfortunately the Political situation in Iran is a reflection of the fact that Democrasy is not suitable in the third world, and the people there are far enough to be able to contain each other and support other ideas and wills. They accept the results of democrasy when they win, but when they fail they revolt !. If majority chose some one , in democrasy ,we should respect this choice, even if it is bad and dangerous. This is why education and awareness of poeple should be before democrasy.

Was the government and the Parliament elected by the people of Iran? Was it a true election or a showoff like what our lovely Arab countries do? If the election was true and people picked their rulers, and there is opposition who lost the election then, the opposition planning and performing an outside agendas proposed by outsiders I guess. If opposition really were true, they will submit to the echo of the people. I do not think they can do the changes if most of the Iranian people do not wan

1- Dr. Jassim Taqui

Political analyst  (Pakistan)

I believe that the Iranian Opposition wants some radical change in the political system. The system is outdated. People are fed up with the dictates of Mullahs and their virtual interference in all aspects of their life. Most probably, the Opposition also wants to end the “Wilayat-I Faqih, ” whereby one person can dictate his terms on everyone including the elected parliament. The Opposition is revolting against massive corruption and social ills including unemployment, high cost of living and lack of basic services. Obviously, the Opposition relies on democratic means to achieve these objectives. Leaders of the Opposition have been able to organize huge procession by the civil society. However, peaceful means can either develop into violence or into military intervention, which is the only way to bring about change in Iran.
